Assignment 6: Document Reflection

Boston Tea Party Witness

From reading the article on the Boston Tea Party I learned many important facts about the era of the Revolutionary. The British had the most power over mostly everyone and it wasn’t fair because they would invade others privacy. All of the British colonists were selfish; the moment of the Boston Tea Party they threw millions of cases of tea overboard their ship. There were many British people that were apart of this act and didn’t even know the other. What surprised me the most was the fact that, there was tea left and was visible from the harbor but they would send small ships back to destroy the tea with oars. There were Boston citizens who tried to save some of the tea for their families, but they were caught and destroyed as well as the tea. I feel that the British had no right to tax Boston citizens for any reason or condition, but they had that right.

I'm having a hard time making sense out of this sentence..."I feel that the British had no right to tax Boston citizens for any reason or condition, but they had that right."

It does seem wasteful, but the colonists definitely made their point!

Some small errors, and a little confusing in parts. As is you earned 26/30 points.
